Criminal Proceedings Against President Central Bank Starts This Thursday

courtWILLEMSTAD - The criminal proceedings in the Saffier case will begin this Thursday. Saffier is the investigation against the President of the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten (CBSCS) Emsley Tromp for tax fraud in private sphere
According to the spokesman for the prosecutor's office Norman Serphos, there are also new suspicions against the suspended president of the Central Bank.
The judge decided to reserve five days for the Saffier case, said the OM spokesperson.
The Supervisory Board of the Bank has also started a dismissal procedure against Tromp. They want to appoint a new President by the end of this year.
