Comments on Chinese spy chips: The article is right in terms of a chip that has been found (for example 2015 by Apple) that shouldn't be there, but it's a bit naive to think that you can simply transfer data from a local site to something external
The article is right in terms of a chip that has been found (for example 2015 by Apple) that shouldn't be there, but it's a bit naive to think that you can simply transfer data from a local site to something external. The complete network incl. firewalls would have to be compromised then. Far more interesting is Cisco network equipment that had been modified by the NSA ;)
And btw: Bloomberg never showed the chip - it could be opened simply to find out what it is really doing.
So basically ... it's a hoax. And its perfect for this Trump in order to act against China.
And - if you actually want to compromise a chip or electronic system, it's much easier to modify something that is ment to be on the board. You don't put something additional on to the board ;)
Yes, hoax. Canard. Whatever. Just a story from bloomberg - known to be pretty republican ;)
Don't believe something because it is in the news. That would be like believing everything posted on youtube ;)
